The Introduction

The Richmond Concert Chorale is an adult, auditioned chorus dedicated to presenting high quality choral performances of classical repertoire to its listening audience. Daniel Stipe is the music director. In music from the Renaissance to the Twentieth century, the Chorale's mission is to sing interesting and varied music with the purpose of keeping alive the great tradition of choral masterpieces, and to explore newly composed works.

Richmond Concert Choral gives concerts in the Spring and Fall seasons and often participates in other community events.

Interested candidates should have choral experience and be able to sight read music.

We welcome qualified singers of all races, nationalities & ethnicities.

Auditions will be held at All Saints Episcopal Church, River Rd. at Gaskins Rd, in Richmond's West End


Rehearsals are each Sunday evening during performance seasons (Sept. to Dec. & Jan. to May) at All Saints Episcopal Church, 8791 River Road, Richmond, VA 23229, in the choir suite from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. During performance weeks, extra rehearsals are added. Singers are expected to attend all rehearsals. Singers are excused for un-resolvable conflicts only at the discretion of the Music Director. Dress rehearsals are mandatory.

Celebrating the birth of our Lord. Motets by Parsons, Palestrina, and Victoria. Carols by Darke, Hellmers, Holst, Mathias, Ord, and Parry.

Spring 2012

Music from the time of Elizameth I to 20th century Americana by Byrd, Morely, Dowland, Weelkes, Gibbons, Tallis, and Britten, Billings, Ives, and Thompson.
